New fees for big land projects
The law updates terrain plan review fees for large land‑disturbing projects. For most properties, smaller projects under 200,000 square feet no longer owe the $3,125 base fee. For shoreland protection areas (RSA 483-B:9), the $3,125 base fee applies at 50,000 to 199,999 square feet. Projects above those levels pay $1,250 more for each extra 100,000 square feet (or part), and you must pay when you submit plans. NHDES will not accept your application until paid; fees go to the Water Resources Fund, and the rules start 60 days after passage.
