New Hampshire’s health department must ask the federal Medicaid agency for approval by July 1, 2025 to enforce work and community activity rules for Granite Advantage Medicaid. Starting November 1, 2025, and every year after, the department reports on the waiver and how these rules are being carried out. If federal officials approve, some adults must meet work or community engagement rules and report proof to keep coverage. Coverage can be paused or ended if they do not meet or report the required activities. The law takes effect now.
