Must be 18 to marry in New Hampshire
Beginning July 1, 2025, both people must be at least 18 to get a New Hampshire marriage license. The law removes earlier nonresident waiver language and blocks licenses for anyone under 18. Clerks no longer record time or age waivers on the marriage application worksheet.
