Health care providers who perform abortions must file a written report with the facility. It must list the date and place, the patient's age and state of residence, the method used, gestational age, and any prescriptions written to induce the abortion. Medical facilities must send these data to New Hampshire’s health department at least once a year, or more often if required. The department compiles tables on maternal health, procedures, and gestational age and reports to the legislature each year. The law does not require sending personally identifiable patient information to the department. The law takes effect upon passage.
