Licensed trauma-trained psychologists oversee child evaluations

Beginning 60 days after passage, evaluations for children placed for evaluation in delinquency or child-in-need-of-services cases follow the same standard as child protection cases. A licensed psychologist must conduct or supervise the evaluation. That psychologist must have specialized training in evidence-based treatment of childhood trauma. The rule covers all psychological assessments, including measures of personality functioning.
