Easier path to surveyor license

Beginning October 1, 2025, the Board can waive the fundamentals exam if you finished a Board‑approved land‑surveying program and have 10 or more years of active land‑surveying work. You may take the principles exam before you finish the required work experience. Licensure still requires completing the experience requirement.

Fast-track license for Pritzker architects

The Board accepts proof that you are a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate instead of all licensing exams. This pathway is in effect now through December 31, 2026. You must provide evidence the Board finds satisfactory.
