Grants to expand student health surveys

The state gives the Division of Public and Behavioral Health $220,000 for FY 2025-2026 and $220,000 for FY 2026-2027. The Division must run a grant program with this money. It awards grants to Nevada System of Higher Education schools to expand the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System survey. Work must follow the CDC’s YRBS and Nevada’s NRS 392.422 rules. The money can be spent in either year. Funds cannot be committed after June 30, 2027. Any amount left must return to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
