Nevada college courses labeled for low-cost materials

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Board of Regents sets a policy on low-cost course materials and no-cost open educational resources. The policy must define those terms. Each Nevada public college must use a uniform system to mark, in its course registration, every course that uses only low-cost or no-cost materials. Students will see those labels when choosing classes.

Public dashboard on student outcomes

Beginning July 1, 2025, the Board of Regents must build a public dashboard on Nevada’s public college student outcomes. It must be posted on or accessible through the System website by September 1, 2026. The dashboard shows counts of Nevada public high school graduates who enroll, students in remedial or corequisite support courses, and the average years to graduate. If data are available, it also shows how many graduates, within two years, have no Nevada wages and are not enrolled, or who received unemployment or public assistance. It cannot include personal identifying information. State and local agencies may help establish and maintain it.
