Grant Matching Account keeps and grows funds

The state establishes a Grant Matching Account in the State General Fund. The designated state office runs the account. Money comes from legislative appropriations, transfers from the Abandoned Property Trust Account, and grants, gifts, or donations. Interest and other earnings stay in the account. Any money left at year end does not revert and rolls into the next year. Grants, gifts, and donations are tracked separately and spent by the donor’s rules.
