Boulder City railroad museum equipment funding

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $34,487 from the General Fund to the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City. The money pays for a utility vehicle, a truck, and tools for locomotive maintenance and restoration. The Division is also authorized to spend $147,023 from non‑General Fund and non‑Highway Fund sources in Fiscal Years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 for the same items. Unspent General Fund money cannot be committed after June 30, 2027, or spent after September 17, 2027, and must be returned by that date.

Carson City railroad museum equipment funding

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $41,294 from the General Fund to the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. The money pays for a utility vehicle, a tractor, and repair of an electronic sign. The Division is also authorized to spend $176,044 from non‑General Fund and non‑Highway Fund sources in Fiscal Years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 for the same uses. Unspent General Fund money cannot be committed after June 30, 2027, or spent after September 17, 2027, and must be returned by that date.

This law takes effect on July 1, 2025. That date starts the funding and spending authority for the museum equipment and repairs.
