Nevada Highway Patrol vehicle replacements

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $6,243,192 for FY 2025–2026 and $5,174,646 for FY 2026–2027 to replace patrol vehicles and special equipment. Any year-end balance cannot be committed after June 30 of that fiscal year. Leftover FY 2025–2026 money cannot be spent after September 18, 2026 and must be returned by that date. Leftover FY 2026–2027 money cannot be spent after September 17, 2027 and must be returned by that date.

New gear for Nevada Highway Patrol

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds new gear for the Nevada Highway Patrol. It provides $185,819 for motorcycles and special equipment, $1,040,928 for portable radios, and $96,697 for vehicle hoists, a forklift, and trailers. It provides $797,415 for drones and commercial vehicle scales, $77,540 for first aid kits, $467,500 for electronic flares, $421,349 for equipment and ammunition, and $63,100 for storage containers. Any money left from these amounts cannot be committed after June 30, 2027. It cannot be spent after September 17, 2027, and must be returned to the State Highway Fund by that date.

New mobile computers for patrol cars

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds mobile data computers and related gear: $1,281,579 for FY 2025–2026 and $414,629 for FY 2026–2027. Any year-end balance cannot be committed after June 30 of that fiscal year. Leftover FY 2025–2026 money cannot be spent after September 18, 2026 and must be returned by that date. Leftover FY 2026–2027 money cannot be spent after September 17, 2027 and must be returned by that date.

Replace portable event recording devices

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds portable event recording devices: $891,831 for FY 2025–2026 and $1,708,820 for FY 2026–2027. Any year-end balance cannot be committed after June 30 of that fiscal year. Leftover FY 2025–2026 money cannot be spent after September 18, 2026 and must be returned by that date. Leftover FY 2026–2027 money cannot be spent after September 17, 2027 and must be returned by that date.
