Conservation grants and forestry upgrades

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $6 million for conservation grants and project work under Nevada’s Shared Stewardship Agreement. It also provides $2,048,082 for deferred maintenance. It adds $67,279 to replace computer and IT equipment. These dollars fund conservation projects and keep forestry operations running.

Deadlines to use forestry funds

The law sets strict deadlines on the forestry funds in sections 1–5. Agencies cannot commit any remaining balance after June 30, 2027. They cannot spend any leftover after September 17, 2027. Any remaining money must return to the original fund by September 17, 2027.

New vehicles and repairs for forestry camps

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds camp vehicles and repairs. It provides $2,592,156 to replace vehicles and $932,918 for facility fixes. It also adds $111,690 in FY 2025-2026 and $111,690 in FY 2026-2027 to replace equipment. It adds $19,270 in FY 2025-2026 and $13,972 in FY 2026-2027 for camp computer gear. Leftover FY 2025-2026 equipment or IT money cannot be spent after June 30, 2026 and must return by September 18, 2026. Leftover FY 2026-2027 equipment or IT money cannot be spent after June 30, 2027 and must return by September 17, 2027.
