Streamlined building rules for Hope Campus

The law lets the Campus for Hope Foundation, or its successor, develop certain state land for a qualified project or cottages that serve children's behavioral health. Work on the Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services Campus (parcels 163-02-601-007 and 163-02-601-005) is not under the State Public Works Division. It is mostly exempt from state public works rules, but contracts must follow NRS 338.013–338.090 as if a public agency awarded them. “Development” includes building, repair, equipment, operation, and maintenance for the project. The law takes effect upon passage and approval.
