Relay service runs through 2030

The law keeps New York’s telecommunications relay service authority in place through June 30, 2030. This preserves service for people who rely on relay calls during that period.

More in-state relay calls and local jobs

Relay service contractors must use a workforce that lives in Onondaga County or a neighboring New York county. At least 80% of all relay calls must be handled by this New York workforce. These rules apply to covered contracts and stay in effect through June 30, 2030.
