No NYC weekend tickets for early trash

The NYC Department of Sanitation cannot issue a notice, appearance ticket, or summons for early setout between 3:00 p.m. Friday and 6:00 p.m. Saturday. This covers owners, lessees, tenants, occupants, and people who manage or control a residential building or home. It applies only when trash, recycling, or other waste was put out earlier than the allowed collection time. It applies whether pickup is by the Department or a licensed private hauler. Other sanitation violations and other times are still enforceable.
