Graduation and funding relief for Ashtabula schools

The law took effect immediately and provides relief for the 2024–2025 school year after winter weather and building damage. Twelfth-grade students who attended Ashtabula Lakeside High School can earn diplomas by showing knowledge in required subjects. This can replace classroom hours or count alongside completed hours. Ohio waives up to 24 required instructional hours at the high school for Ashtabula City School District’s state-funding eligibility. The law does not set a funding amount.
