Beginning November 1, 2025, brokers and property owners of record may pay or offer payment to Oklahoma Real Estate Commission-licensed professionals. This covers brokerage services for buying, leasing, selling, transferring, or exchanging Oklahoma property. Brokers and owners do not have to offer payment, and brokers may charge or skip separate fees for individual services. Paying or promising to pay a broker does not determine the broker’s relationship with the paying party. A broker or owner receiving fees based on sale price or lease cost does not, by itself, breach duties to anyone. The law does not set payment amounts or guarantee lower household costs.
