Possible rewards include recognition, a monetary award for class projects or field trips, entry in drawings for resources, and a certificate. These rewards are optional and not guaranteed.
Beginning November 1, 2026, the Agriculture Department has sole authority over Ag in the Classroom. It works with the State Department of Education and the Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension Service as needed. The Department directly receives all funds provided for the program under Title 47, Section 1104.3. It may also seek and accept gifts, grants, and bequests to support the program.
Beginning November 1, 2026, Oklahoma runs an Ag in the Classroom program. The Agriculture Department operates it. The program creates K-12 lessons for urban and rural schools. Teachers get training and workshops to use the lessons. The program helps students learn about agriculture in our state.
