For tax year 2026 and later, Oklahoma individual and corporate tax forms include a box to donate part of your refund to the Indigent Veteran Burial Program. Money goes to a state revolving fund run by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The fund can repay cemeteries or funeral homes up to $500 per veteran. Total repayments in calendar year 2017 were limited to $20,000. If you donated by mistake, you can claim a refund within three years from the return due date. Refunded amounts are taken out of next year’s donations and moved to the Income Tax Withholding Refund Account.
