Beginning November 1, 2026, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation must tell the Oklahoma Transportation Commission before it makes a claim against a surety company. The claim must stem from a contractor not performing on a DOT contract. The Commission reviews the information and must approve the claim. The Department can file the claim only after the Commission approves it.
