Rhode Island workers get higher minimum pay

Rhode Island employers must pay workers covered by the state's minimum-wage law at least the scheduled hourly rate. The minimum is $15 starting January 1, 2025, and $16 starting January 1, 2026. It rises to $17 in 2027, $18 in 2028, $19 in 2029, and $20 in 2030, each on January 1. Your total pay increase depends on your hours and earlier pay.
