Higher tax increase limit for Providence

For fiscal year 2026 only, Providence can increase its total property tax levy by up to 8%. This replaces the usual 4% limit for that year. The city does not have to use the full increase. The limit applies to total taxes raised, not each household’s bill, so individual tax changes are unknown.
