Legislature must approve school voucher credit

The state can join the federal school voucher tax‑credit program only if the General Assembly passes, and the governor signs, a law allowing it. The governor cannot opt in alone or send a list of scholarship groups without that approval. Families and scholarship groups get access only after the state passes and signs that authorization.
