Guaranteed Rhode Island college admission for Scouts

Beginning with Fall 2026 applications, URI, RIC, and CCRI must admit Rhode Island residents who earned Eagle Scout or the Girl Scouts Gold Award. You must submit a complete application, meet the school’s basic submission rules, and provide official proof of the award. This guarantee does not cover capacity-limited or accreditation-restricted programs (like nursing, engineering, pharmacy, or audition-based arts) unless you meet those program requirements. Schools and the state council may set how you prove your award and deadlines; these rules do not change who qualifies. Admission is offered without discrimination based on protected traits. This law does not provide financial aid or tuition discounts and does not change in-state tuition residency rules.
