Bars must offer drink lids and post notice

Bars and restaurants that serve alcohol for drinking there must give a removable lid if a customer asks. The lid must attach to the rim and fit at least one cup they use. They must post a prominent sign that says: Don't get roofied! Drink lids available here. Ask a staff member for details. They may charge a small extra fee for a lid, but it must be reasonable and based on wholesale cost. They can also offer lids for free. For a first, single violation, the department issues only a warning. The law takes effect upon passage.
