Wage claim hearings take longer

The law changes timelines for wage cases. For regular wage complaints, the hearing must be set within 180 days after a formal complaint is served. The decision must come within 180 days after the hearing ends. For prevailing‑wage cases, the law removes the old minimum notice and 10‑day deadlines to hold a hearing or issue a decision. This can slow pay recovery for workers but gives employers more time to respond. These changes take effect upon passage.
