Redrawn school board districts in Laurens 55

The law redraws the seven single-member districts for Laurens County School District 55. Beginning with the 2026 school elections, each trustee must live in the district and is elected only by voters there. The lines are set by official map S-59-55-25; the state Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office gives certified copies to the school district and the county election board. Only the General Assembly or a court can change the map. The map includes demographic data for each district. The change does not alter the school district’s outer boundary. The law takes effect May 13, 2025.
