Excused days for student activities

Beginning February 27, 2026, each school district has 90 days to adopt this policy. Students can be excused for up to 10 school days each year. The days cover career and technical student organization experiences led by a certified teacher. They also cover any interscholastic activity the school or district allows, even if not league‑sanctioned. Students must be in academic good standing to use these days. Examples include FFA and 4‑H events. Students and their parent or guardian must get and finish any missed schoolwork.
