State transfers three armories to locals

The law transfers three National Guard armories from the State to local governments. They are at 1119 SC-34 (Dillon), 620 John G. Rose Drive (Timmonsville), and 10233 Marlboro Avenue (Barnwell). Ownership goes to the City of Dillon, the City of Timmonsville, and Barnwell County. This overrides usual state property transfer rules. Local governments now control the buildings and take on upkeep and liability. Effective May 19, 2026, when the Governor approved the act.
