Blue Ridge bans new cluster septic systems

The law redraws the Blue Ridge Community boundary in Greenville County using named roads. Starting April 28, 2025, installing a cluster decentralized wastewater system inside this boundary is banned. A cluster system is under common ownership, serves two or more homes or buildings, and uses a shared nearby treatment and dispersal site. Property owners, developers, and installers in Blue Ridge must choose other allowed wastewater options for new projects.
