Culinary bachelor's at tech colleges, no new state general funds
Beginning May 18, 2026, state technical and comprehensive colleges can offer an Applied Baccalaureate in Culinary Arts Management. A college must first get approval from the Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, then from the Commission on Higher Education. The degree is allowed only if the state does not add new general fund money to run it. If new state general funds are appropriated for its operations, the program is not allowed.
