Seizure first-aid posters in state workplaces
Effective May 19, 2026, the state health department creates an evidence-based pamphlet or poster on seizure first aid at work. The department posts it on its website for agencies to use and can draw on federal or epilepsy nonprofit guidance. The head of each state governmental entity must post the poster where employees can easily see it. This applies to state agencies, courts, the legislature, and local governments. “Seizure first aid” means nonmedical steps to respond and keep someone safe during a primary generalized tonic-clonic or complex partial seizure.
