More prescription delivery options for patients
South Dakota pharmacies can deliver prescriptions by courier, mail, or remote drop site under pharmacist supervision at a licensed pharmacy. Remote sites must be supervised by the pharmacist-in-charge. The pharmacy must prepare medicines delivered through remote sites and keep them under its control. Remote sites do not need separate pharmacy licenses. The South Dakota Board of Pharmacy must set rules for these sites.
