Wholesalers pay new liquid and cartridge taxes
Beginning July 1, 2026, Tennessee charges wholesalers $4.40 per gallon of liquid HDCP products sold or distributed. Containers measured in other units are taxed at the same rate based on their volume. Inhalable HDCP products in cartridge form carry an additional tax of 10% of their wholesale cost. The supplied text does not define HDCPs. Buyers may pay higher prices if wholesalers pass along these taxes.
