Motorcycle riders face fines, with waiver option

Beginning May 7, 2025, Utah imposes a minimum $350 fine for riding a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle without the required endorsement. This fine is added to any other applicable traffic-code or local-ordinance fines. The court must waive the $350 fine if you provide proof that you obtained the motorcycle endorsement within 30 days. That deadline runs from the later of entering a plea or sentencing. The court may grant a reasonable extension for good cause.
