City services can reach tribal lands

Beginning July 27, 2025, Washington cities and federally recognized tribes can agree to extend city services to tribal lands. Services can reach beyond the city and its urban growth area. The property must be under the tribe’s jurisdiction and border the city. Both sides must agree by December 31, 2028, but neither is required to enter an agreement.
