Beginning July 27, 2025, authorized Washington public facilities districts can collect their regional-center sales and use tax longer. The maximum collection period rises from 40 to 55 years after collection first begins. Collection ends sooner when bonds for the regional center and related parking facilities are paid off. The law does not raise the tax rate. Collections are deducted from state taxes otherwise due, rather than added to them.
