Broader pay comparisons for Washington ferry workers

Effective July 27, 2025, Washington broadens its comparison policy for ferry workers’ pay, benefits, and working conditions. Comparisons use directly comparable public- and private-sector jobs, which do not have to be identical. The policy no longer limits comparisons to West Coast states, Alaska, and British Columbia. This change does not set a wage increase or guarantee a raise.
