Beginning July 27, 2025, Washington joint operating agencies' sealed-bid threshold for materials, equipment, and supplies rises from $15,000 to $30,000. For construction of power-generating projects and related facilities, the threshold rises to $150,000 when multiple crafts or trades are involved. For construction involving just one craft or trade, it rises to $75,500. Contracts requiring sealed bids remain required when estimated costs exceed these amounts, excluding sales tax. The law does not directly change household payments or benefit eligibility.
