Cannabis producers gain cooperatives with size limits

Beginning June 11, 2026, licensed Washington cannabis producers can form associations or cooperatives, with or without stock. These groups can process, prepare, handle, and market cannabis within Washington for their members' mutual benefit. Each group can represent no more than three producer licenses at a time. Groups must either give each member one vote or limit payments on stock or membership capital to 8% per year. The value of nonmembers' products handled cannot exceed the value handled for members.
