Higher public works limits for contractors

Washington state agencies and authorized local governments can use the small works contractor roster for larger projects. Eligible work includes construction, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, and improvements to real property. The project cost cap excludes sales tax and stays at $350,000 through December 31, 2026. It rises to $530,000 from January 1 through June 30, 2027. The cap is $560,000 from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2028. It is $590,000 from July 1, 2028, through June 30, 2029. It is $620,000 from July 1, 2029, through June 30, 2030. Beginning July 1, 2030, the cap is $650,000. Projects above each cap cannot use this process.
