Qualifying nonprofit public halls and meeting places can hold regularly scheduled fundraisers for up to 50 days yearly, up from 15. They can keep their property tax exemption during these uses. The change applies to property taxes collected in 2027 and later. The first amendment expires January 1, 2033, when a replacement amendment takes effect and continues the 50-day limit. A separate farmers market exception allows up to 53 days, with revenue used for building improvements, upkeep, operations, or exempt purposes.
