Tuition waiver options for tribal elders

Beginning July 27, 2025, Washington community and technical colleges can waive tuition and services and activities fees for tribal elders. Eligible elders must be over age 55 and from an Indian tribe covered by RCW 43.376.010. Each college decides whether to waive all or part of these fees, so savings are not guaranteed. The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges can adopt and amend rules to carry out the law. The law provides no funding for these waivers.
