Effective July 27, 2025, the law extends specified Washington livestock inspection rules and fees from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2030. Livestock owners remain subject to these rules, but the law does not change fee amounts. Annual reports, required each November 1 starting in 2023, also continue until July 1, 2030. The Department of Agriculture must report to legislative agriculture and budget committees and the livestock identification advisory committee. Reports must cover money collected, spending, financial health, program improvements, and whether fees need review to cover costs. The law also delays a related provision until July 1, 2030.
