West Virginia dementia council extended through 2030

The law extends West Virginia’s dementia council from July 31, 2026, to July 31, 2030—four more years. The council reviews care needs, services, and support for people with dementia and their caregivers. It must submit a State Alzheimer’s Plan to the Governor and Joint Committee on Health within 24 months of its first meeting. It also advises on carrying out that plan. The Department of Health pays council costs from existing funds. The law does not directly change household eligibility, benefits, or costs.
