Beginning July 1, 2026, county sheriffs who also serve as county treasurer earn a commission based on property tax collections. Collect 85% to under 90% and get $20,000; 90% to under 95% gets $25,000; 95% or more gets $30,000. The county commission sets the collection rate used for your tier.
