Effective March 12, 2026, the law adds about $70.36 million for West Virginia’s Hope Scholarship Program. The State Board of Education receives this money from the state’s unused General Revenue surplus. The funding is for fiscal year 2026, which ends June 30, 2026. The law does not change who qualifies or set an individual scholarship amount.
