Restored gun rights recognized, penalties remain

Wyoming recognizes when the state that convicted you later restores your gun rights. If your rights are restored there, you can use and possess guns in Wyoming. This does not restore voting, jury, or office rights unless that state also restores them. If you have a violent felony and no pardon or restoration, using or knowingly having a gun is a felony. Penalties are up to 3 years in jail and up to a $5,000 fine. For a nonviolent felony without a pardon or restoration, it is a misdemeanor. Penalties are up to 6 months in jail and up to a $750 fine.
