Felony for adults who stalk minors

Beginning July 1, 2026, stalking a minor is a felony when the stalker is 18 or older. On conviction, the penalty is up to 10 years in prison. The law also keeps other felony triggers, like stalking that violates probation, parole, bail, or a protection order.
