Iris Biotech is a specialist chemistry house in Marktredwitz, a small town in Bavaria near the Czech border, not an obvious node in the global drug supply chain. It built its business on breadth rather than volume: a very deep catalog of protected amino acids, unnatural building blocks, peptidomimetics, resins and coupling reagents aimed at medicinal chemists and peptide developers.
